Job Description

Our client, a law firm located in Chester County is seeking to add a Word Processor to their team!  We are looking for someone who is interested in part time work on a permanent basis. We offer flexible hours and a positive, team oriented culture.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the firm with word processing and other administrative support.
  • Types, edits, and compiles documents as well as types routine correspondence and memoranda.
  • Receives and transcribes legal dictation.
  • Generates, prepares and organizes correspondence and documentation requisite to the practice area.
  • Composes emails and prepares and sends faxes.
  • Handles opening of files.
  • Adds new forms and revises current forms.
  • Performs a variety of administration activities including maintenance of spreadsheets, scanning, filing, creating labels, maintaining logs and forms and compiling information.
  • May enters time for attorneys.
  • Makes copies upon request.

Position Specifications:

Knowledge

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 4 years word processing/administrative within a law firm. Knowledge of Estates and Trust practice area preferred.                                                                                                                          
  • Computer proficient with working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel required.
  • Keyboarding skills of 70 wpm or higher required. 
  • Working knowledge of a document management system required.
